Route Grading System
Route Grading System
Our route grading is a four-level scale that tells you what to expect on a descent — without depending on the experience of any single guide.
Beginner
Short approach, low-commitment rappels under 15 m, calm flow. Suitable for first-time canyoneers with no prior rope experience.
Intermediate
Multiple rappels up to 30 m, occasional jumps, steady flow. A baseline level of fitness and comfort in moving water is required.
Advanced
Sustained rappels, exposed traverses, technical anchors. Prior rope work strongly recommended.
Extreme
High-flow descents, free-hanging rappels above 40 m, no escape options. Only for canyoneers with formal training.
