Flow follows the heart and causes vexation; Environment follows the heart and brings joy.

Every time before heading for canyoning, I would ask the coach about the number of waterfalls, their height, and whether there are deep pools. It turns out that the natural environment I am in will change with the anxious state of my mind.

When I embarked on this route for the first time, the coach told me to calm down, and I found that rappelling and cliff jumping were not as frightening. My life has always been fast-paced, and my mood may have been in a state of anxiety for a long time, but I was accustomed to it without self-awareness.

This sentence, combined with the coach’s advice, enlightened me:

People always have both longing and fear when exploring the unknown, and the energy of fear should not narrow one’s brain; instead, one should try to coexist with it.

I believe that when I know how to “face” and “confront” the feeling of fear, it is the time to be fearless. It’s not about completely overcoming it, but rather, its existence no longer stirs any ripples in my heart.
